Creation of H2O files from .ob:

Wannado_ob.zip 137.92 kB · 1 download

- use it on your own risk

- 2 or three H2O files contain wrong FI start addresses and counts

- position of some sub meshes may be wrong (see handle bars in my pre-previous post)

All the files have errors; I can't import them into Blender or convert them to OBJ. I also tried using Connected, but I can't get it to work. The first program works fine, but it doesn't put the file in the folder.

Please upload the .ob file you used.

I also tried using Connected,

What is that, "Connected"? (Do you mean "hex2obj"?)

What is "the first program"? Make_H2O_ob.exe?

That's the .ob files you had uploaded already. Both files are handled correctly (creating suiting H2O files, more or less) by the Make_H2O_ob.exe.

Please explain in detail, what problems you've met when using it.

Hi, everything okay? I imported the ob file and the H2O file into hex2obj, but from here on I can't do anything else. I downloaded the same version of Blender 2.69, but the plugin didn't work.

Read How-to-use.txt in the zip. It says:

To care for all H2O files
choose File "SaveAs Mmesh" (multiple mesh)
to create obj files from all contained submeshes.

(You also could export a single obj file using File\SaveAs mesh)

Could you send me the program configured and ready to convert to OBJ? I'm having trouble, it's very difficult. Just one question: do I need to configure something within hex2obj? It seems incompatible with my files. I've tried several times and nothing works. I think the problem isn't the files themselves.

There's isn't anything to configure when using hex2obj.

Load the model file (here lobstersled.ob for example), load a .H2O file (lobstersled.ob_0000.h2o).

press the 'mesh' button and you're done.

To get the .obj file, choose File/SaveAs mesh

which I mentioned already. (Maybe the problem is that you don't read my posts with care?)

The information about this problem is given in How-to-use.txt:

Quote

Manual correction of the belonging H2O files required then.
(example see included lobstersled.ob_0013.H2O)

The included file is named lobstersled.ob_0013 610D, 24.h2o

But I fear to correct this is above your possibilities.

Plus, it's 8 vertices only. You don't really need them.
