Files that contain the .big file extension are most commonly used by the Electronic Arts software company to store game data files.

The BIG files that are created by Electronic Arts can contain individual assets that are used by the gaming software during a player's gameplay. The data in the BIG files is compressed in order to save space on a user's hard drive.

The FinalBig utility can create BIG files and individual MODs (files that customize the gameplay experience). In some cases, the individual MOD files can be imported into certain video games along with the BIG files to alter the user's game play experience.

One modder encrypted or modified BIG file and now it's not opening. Please help to understand how he modified or encrypted it
