Hello friends, I opened this topic because I couldn't convert *.IPU files from the game Ultraman Fighting Evolution Rebirth(SLPS_255.29) to the normal PS2 IPU. I would like to know how to use the "ultraman_fer_ipu.bms" script, or is there another tool to use after this step?

This is a game IPU file for analising:

Use ipu decode tool to convert to avi (video will be corrupted if you play it, but you know his fps, hight, wight and other)
Then use ps2str to create new ipu with same params

Is there a way to decode this IPU (game) directly to *.AVI, what tool would that be?
In this package from this link in the post, there is a soft decoder from IPU(normal) to *.M2V.
So there would be two steps: Transform the IPU (of the game) into IPU (normal) and then decode it to M2V or AVI...
>>>The problem that led me to create this POST is because the conversion script between IPU (game) to IPU (normal) does not do the complete job, for later decoding to M2V or AVI.

It doesn't matter, the main thing for ps2str is m2v need to correctly encode to ipu

Thank you for giving me attention, my question is simple? How do I do that? But first, I kindly ask you to download my .RAR file and understand my difficulty. If you need more .IPU( from the game ) I'll send as many as you need. And thank you very much in advance!

dude, I already wrote you how to do it. You take IPUdecode.exe and you get either avi or m2v. The video will be corrupted, but the frame rate, height, width parameters will be correct. You can find out the parameters through media info.exe. Next, you make a new m2v video with the same parameters with tmpgenc.exe. And then through ps2str.exe you convert to IPU. It's all. The only negative is that you cannot decode and encode the same video to overlay subtitles for example. Therefore, you must either play such a video through different players that have support and record a screencapture.
