Try with AGSUnpacker.
You can find this tool at https://github.com/adm244/AGSUnpacker

Image

1) Unpack asset (open exe file)
2) Unpack Sprites (if there are sprites to modify in acsprset.spr
3) Extract TRS from Assets (open the exe file again) - the file is located in the Assets decompilation directory.
4) Translate (Please note that the original text must not be changed. The translation must be put in the line below)
5) Compile TRS file to create a TRA file
6) Open winsetup.exe and choose the tra that was created

7) Repack Sprites (If sprites have been modified in the acsprset.spr)
8) Change room background (to modify the images of the rooms)

Hi, I tried it and the text didn't change 100%. For example, I worked on dialog 1, but in dialog 2 (I translated), the text didn't change at all (it's still in English). Then there's the text at the beginning, for example, "FEBRUARY 1929[SOMEWHERE IN CENTRAL ASIA" that I tried to translate. Then, during the process of creating the "TRA" file, the AGS tools experienced an error and forced closed.

"FEBRUARY 1929[SOMEWHERE IN CENTRAL ASIA" although present in the trs/tra is not actually used as text in the game.
It'is in fact an image that you will find in acsprset.spr. It'is the sprite spr14848.png

This is probably because you have corrupted the trs file. This kind of incident is common when the trs file is not correct.

If you attach your trs file, I can check it.
