Hi all. The question arose of how to properly extract music from this game. Music is stored in *.HOG files in the RESOURCE folder (probably with all other resources) and is encoded in Sony ADPCM Compressed format. But the problem is that I can't find the right Interleave in any way. Either it is variable, or I'm doing something wrong or I don't understand it.

It seems that the interleave is variable: even if the sound starts playing normally, after a while the channels are out of sync again. Plus, fragments of a certain channel can be repeated again, which, perhaps, affects further desynchronization. I ran into this while trying to set interleave in this game and also Hugo: Bookazoom.

You don't need to do anything. If you've extracted the .mic files from the hog archive, they will play in Foobar/vgmstream.

Thank you. But what if the frequency is incorrectly determined? Now I tried to open music from Hugo: Bookazoom in Foobar, but it plays twice as fast and 44 kHz is written below. In reality, it should be 22 kHz per channel, but twice as slow (since the quality of one channel in MFAudio corresponds to the quality of 22 kHz in terms of spectra). If Foobar re-encodes the sound to 44 kHz, given that it goes twice as fast, when slowed down, only half the quality is obtained.
