Hi there!

I am trying to mod Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (for PC). With the QuickBMS script I was able to extract the "vz.wad" file that all the games assets are in. I am trying to replace some of the files within the WAD and repack it but that did not work with any of the repack settings.
After doing some digging around with IDA/updates for the console versions I found that you can simply add the .block files you want to replace in a new "vz-patch.wad" file.
They will automatically be patched if the .block files are named the same

Main data file:
vz.wad
/blocks/VZ/******.block

Patch data file:
vz-patch.wad
/blocks/vz-patch/******.block

So far I am only trying to replace LOD models (trying to make all the lower LOD models/textures into the higher LOD models/textures), so I don't need to mess around with generating my own .block files/messing with checksums for them.
I have tried to patch the exe to do the same thing by changing the filenames called, but I assume they are called by their file index as I saw no changes when just editing the files called.

Since The file sizes are larger I can't repack them into the original .WAD file.

If anyone could help me in generating my own .WAD files i'd really appreciate it!

I attached the vz-patch.wad file as an example (note: as it was from the console version I had to byte swap the header of the file to match the PC version, the rest of the file is untouched)
