I checked the pak files just now while working on GR.IMG (on the other thread) but I don't see readable "data" to extract or an interesting format.
In my opinion are more interesting the SS and PSS files that are raw VAG audio.

yeah the file sizes are pretty small. im trying to port the ps2 exclusive maps to a pc mod.

pc maps require rsb/env/qob/pob/map/sht files

the ps2 has pak/mol/maz/bmz/aol files with map names

i'm not sure if this means that these files are incompatible with PC or if there is a way to change the file type so it can be opened with GR mod tools. or maybe its encryption idk.

i decided to start from scratch and re rip my original game disc and then extract it with quickbms using your script.

interestingly enough there is a 70mb difference between the quickbms extract folder and the other folder (no idea how it was extracted) and now i'm able to open a lot more files

the link on the first post has bad files. the .maz files i have now are 1-2mb which is roughly the size of a PC GR map file

edit: updated link, these are the files i need. they are either compressed or encrypted. not sure which. the missing piece to my puzzle
