I don't see information about the archived files, there no size values for extracting something.

Is it about Vainglory or is it just a random file? You must ever specify the game name.

Anyway I see some repeated patterns of 8 bytes in the first part of the file which makes me think about blowfish or *tea encryption, but all the rest is non-compressed / non-encrypted data without much sense (not random)

You can search more info by searching "WEBPVP8L" on Google.

the output of what? the bms doesnt work
I've used TrID on the data and it has detected some of them as .pcx, but when I read their binary they're indeed webp files. however even irfanview can't open them
it seems like im skipping some obvious thing in the process? help me, please. I need these textures

That post was referred to the exact archive posted (and no longer existent) in the first post for which the script has been created, so it's useless that you quote that.

As written in my latest posts it looks like there is encryption used on all the other files except the sample provided by the user.

Feel free to post other samples and wait the possible response/help of other users that have worked on this game.

RIFF containers are automatically named as "wav" since there is no way to guess the content from the first 4 bytes.
Maybe in the next version of quickbms I can check if it's possible to add support for other types of files that use the RIFF container but currently there are no alternatives/solutions.

Hi Aluigi
i have this one OBB file https://www.modapkdown.com/vainglory-2- ... ading.html
of game Vainglory 2.11.0 version (it is a DEC 04, 2017 update)

I renamed this OBB to ZIP and almost full unpacked, but than can be seen folders 0A 0B 0C 0D 0F 01. It seems all data encrypted.
Then i tried your script.
but decryption is complete with error (attach file)
then i sow .dat files.
tried to open them with zip - winzip is open it but cant unpack (windows explorer even cant open)
