So, I stumbled across a PS3 game(Katamari Forever/Katamari Damacy Tribute) and within it I found this file(it is split using a bms script). If you look into it through a hex editor, you can see it contains at3 files.

Is there any way to extract these .at3 files out of a .nub archive? Thanks.

Use VGM Toolbox's Advanced Cutter/Offset Finder with the RIFF Style Header preset loaded.

How did I not find that out? Thanks.

Hi, I too would like to open a .nub file (from Wii Ski, a Bandai Namco game titled "BGM.nub"). Unfortunately, this type of thing is totally outside of my skill set. I downloaded VGMToolbox, but am unsure what to do next. It says I need a search string, but I am unsure what that is, nor do I know what an RIFF style header is. If anyone has the time, could you hand hold me through the process?

Use the filecutter.bms script on the file through quickBMS and upload the sample. It's easier if you want to be helped than describe the problem without anything that one would look into.

If I did everything right by using the programme you specified, then these files should be right. I found the script you mentioned on the dev's webpage and copied it into a text editor and saved it as a bms script, then ran the .nub file through it. Again, I am no expert, so apologies if I screwed this all up.

Thank you for the assistance.

Well, I must say that you did okay on this.

But regarding the format itself, they contain .idsp files. But the problem is how to split them...

Good news, I figured it out. I found a .nub extractor here: http://hcs64.com/files/

I then converted the files w/ vgmstream.

I think this method may even be easier :)
