So im currently trying to get the language files out of a game called Pandora Saga a Japanese MMO. Most of the data is stored in .HED/.DAT files. This game was localized for North America, but about 4 years back they shut it down. I would like to try and make this game playable again for english players to play on the Japanese server, as the community for the game is still holding on after all this time.

I have found the script "AiSpace.bms" and as I do know that this script was also used to extract .HED files.. but unfortunately it seems that the AiSpace script doesn't apply/work with the .HED files in question, I'm sure due to an irregularity in the algorithm. There is no doubt in my mind that this game is really similar to Ai Space and other Japanese games developed. I am unfortunately not very savvy in the way of encryption and decryption so i wouldn't even know where to start to try and diagnose the problem.

Im wondering if this is a quick fix or something deeper, or perhaps I did something wrong? Below are the errors i received using the QuickBMS Ai Space script as well as some sample files from Pandora Saga.

Any help with this would be so appreciated by many people and monetary compensation is NOT out of the question! 8-)

The AISpace script was just a work-around written for some files and versions.
It's not supported.

for Saga
.HED - target file name, dictionary for ROT, names of files and folders, offset in .dat, length in .dat
^^ crypted XOR mod, key JP = "0x7A"; CH = "0x8F" (do not remember exactly, i could be wrong in key)
