Would you be interested in looking at the .bg3d files in the models folder that get extracted? There is definitely way more than 8 models in the game, and I think they are packaged together (hence file names like global and foliage, etc).
Also, those files aren't the only ones packed in the bg3d format, skeletons are too (you can see the file headers are the same), Should I save asking about the 3d package for the models section, not sure since it it a bundle of models.
