Most files of this game are in .rep (Repository) archives.

I'm mostly interested in the sounds (they are in mp3 format as far as I know), but I included some extra archives which may or may not contain graphics.

The following is the script that you must use on the extracted MAINDATA/$$REPOSITORYDATABASE$$/$$REPOSITORYDATABASE$$ of every REP archive:
http://aluigi.org/bms/starfarers_catan.bms

So, to recap:

• use 7-zip on one REP archive
• use starfarers_catan.bms on MAINDATA/$$REPOSITORYDATABASE$$/$$REPOSITORYDATABASE$$
• delete MAINDATA and do the same operations on the next REP archive

The script works perfectly for some of the archives but a majority of them don't work at all.
