The 'filecutter.bms' script generated these files, and the file the samples were generated from is located here (size is 123MB). Here is a second .fad file.

When viewing the first .fad's hex, I spotted no obvious header(s) that related to the file, but it is littered with YKCMP_V1 headers so I assume there is image data located within (though I could be wrong).

Just after a very quick look: it's highly possible that already exist a solution for these FAD archives, anyway from what I have seen they are just containers without index (0x00274d10 of anm000.fad in fact is not like the previous YKCMP_V!1ones).

Searches relevant to this .fad file (and others for games such as Disgaea PC [anmdat.fad]) revealed no useful information. Searching for programs that can extract such files from .fad containers also yielded nothing useful. I thank you for looking into this however, but I have reason to believe that if such a solution exists for the .fad archives, it isn't a simple one to locate. Alongside that, an examination was done by the group I am with and we haven't come to a conclusive answer on how we can extract the contents safely and get use-able data.

EDIT: When experimenting with 7-Zip, I found that the "test.fad" 'container' has an LZMA:24 compression applied, but attempting to use the file inside "test.fad" in any form causes an error to appear. The same couldn't be said for "anm0000.fad" however, as using 7-Zip on said file causes an error to appear regarding the .fad file as a "damaged or corrupt archive".
