Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew how to convert .Sod files to something like MP3 or Wav. I tried searching up this sort of file, however, I could not find anything on it.

Weird thing as that certain music files will play the sounds however most of the other sounds will not place. Am trying to figure out what this file is but it seems to be one not used yet in gaming as the only thing that appears for it is Wolfenstein.

To Add: I ran one of the .Sod files through Ravoli and it said that there was a .Dat file within it.

Edit Edit: Yea, it seems like the .SOD files are just a random file name, however, the insides of the files are really just .DAT's but I have no idea how to unpack them. Will try using random BMS scripts.

xor with what?
0xe6? No.

Why don't you ask these information to who told you this wrong information?
Almost every existent encryption algorithm is based on the XOR operator :D

In my opinion the file may be just a RIFF wav that has been obfuscated with some math algorithm or maybe even with a charset replacement.

Will do actually, but I don't think they are as experienced as you are when it comes to unencrypting files. Would it even be possible to turn these .SoD files into playable ones? So far I cannot find any information on these sort of files.

You need someone with the game (which is dead afaik) and some reverse engineering skill.
Or someone who wants to guess the algorithm by looking at the original and encrypted bytes, for example:
0x00 0xe6
0x01 0xea
0x10 0xba
0x52 0x5a
0x73 0x5c
0x46 0x94
and so on.

Any interest in continuing this? If you need all files I can upload them.
