Hey everyone,

So I'm currently working on a mod to translate the PS3 version of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven from Japanese to English. For those who don't know, the game did receive an international release, but only on PS4. The PS3 version was never localized in any form. Writing out exactly how I plan for this mod to work would do nothing but waste everyone's time, so I'll leave a link here to my Reddit post where I describe this project in greater detail for those who are interested.

The main reason I'm on here is that I need some decryption help when it comes to the game's .XFBIN files. The game itself was created by CyberConnect2 and uses a similar encoding and file format as the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm games. So far, I've managed to parse the ISO and extract and decompress the CPKs. However, the XFBIN files have been giving me some trouble currently, as I can access the base code of some files normally, but others appear to be encrypted in some form.

For the record, I used CriPakTools initially to extract the CPKs and there doesn't appear to be a QuickBMS script for Eyes of Heaven. Additionally, the Naruto UNS 4 script only seems to cover "CRILAYLA" encryption, which only appears in some of the files that are encrypted.

I have attached a series of screenshots of part of an unencrypted XFBIN from the games files as well as an encrypted one in both normal and hex modes for reference. Any help concerning the decryption of these files would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

YourResidentFireMage
