reimport/repack files without original files

i have extracted files from king of fighters xiv (assets.wad) using quickbms

however, i have a question,...can i reimport files that i have extracted before without the presense of assets.wad (original files)
and just rely on the folder and files that have extracted before (using quickbms)

Moved in Game Archive because the reimport feature of quickbms obviously require the original archive while I think you are looking a way to use the extracted files directly without the wad archive... rarely the games allow that but maybe someone else has more info
