Empire of the Ants (2000)
aka Les Fourmis

Developed by Microids
PC Windows
3D graphics / Rts genre / adapted from the novel by Bernard Werber
See Mobygames entry here

Most of the files are in DMF format but there are also many other formats which may need to be extracted.
The game contains data in both English and French.
It has many file formats so I'm not sure which format is what (graphics, data, etc) as the game has some unique file extensions.

List of file formats in the game:

DMF
BAT
DTA
O3D
GRK
CRK
HLX
NIV
MPK
SET
SCE
A3D
FRS

Download samples HERE.

Some players here are interested in modding the game.

Thanks for any help!

I tried the script and got more DAT files which need to be further extracted.
Download them here.

Are there are any scripts needed for the other filetypes listed above?

They are not archives.
If you open them with a hex editor you can notice that there is nothing interesting there, like some integer numbers in the middle of long sequences of "\xc3\xf5\xc7\xf2"
