Hello,

I have been mining data for Disney Heroes: Battle Mode for several months now and within the assets folder was a collection of *.tab files which I could easily view using any text editor. Inside are tab separated values.

In a recent patch they have changed the extension to *.tabb which appears to be some sort of binary file or it has been encrypted?

At any rate, I can no longer view the contents of these files. Below is a side-by-side file size compare

Has anyone encountered this file extension before? If so, how can you decode the contents? Or what steps would I need to take to convert the file? Thanks in advance

The picture of the tabb is 100% a gzip file (open with 7zip or rar).

Thanks for the advice. How did you deduce that it is a gzip file? Thanks in advance for future reference, and for science.

hey alpha,

were you able to decode the gunzipped file? if so, did you need to use quickbms or something similar to get the text again to show properly?
