Does anyone know how to extract files for Nexon's Legend of Cao Cao? I used to be able to rip them without any fuss using Unity Ex, but the latest update has rendered that method useless. Samples of the files can be found right here: link

I hope I'm not asking too much of anyone here. All I want is a way to get these files extracted properly.

There is no encryption so I suppose you need or have to wait for a newer version of the tool/tools.

I'd say the difference between the current batch of files and the last ones is that the former has these .resS files that accompany the main asset which is marked as unknown according to Unity Ex. I've tried to get the .resS file using Bundle Extractor, but I have no idea how to open them for the graphic assets they contain.

Here's a screenshot comparing the same files derived from different updates. The one on the left is from a previous update showing a .tex file that is intact. The second one, however, is from the latest update and seems to have placed the data into an .resS file and turned the original .tex into something unknown. The latest build of Unity Assets Bundle Extractor allows me to rip out the .resS from the unity3D file itself, but I have no idea how to open its contents or extract the assets from within. I really want to know how this can be done successfully.

Ah ok so the content has been moved in resS.
Honestly I don't have many suggestions except trying other tools and solutions, sorry.
Hopefully someone else has more info, in the meantime I'm going to add "Unity resS" in the title for better finding the topic.

Thanks for the encouragement, though I'm curious if you happen to know some other tools I'm not aware of yet. All I have in my arsenal so far are UnityEX, Unity Assets Bundle Extractor, Unity Assets Explorer, Unity Studio, and Unity Assets Editor. I'd be grateful to add more tools if you happen to know some.

I finally solved my problem! It took me a while to come up with a solution, but now I'm able to get the graphics I want with these steps.

1. Open Unity Assets Bundle Extractor.
2. Create bundle pack per file.
3. Check the info of the CAB- file.
4. Click on the Texture2D file you wish to extract.
5. Click Plugins and choose Export to .png, then rename it however you wish.
