Valve is leaving all its games vulnerable, the situation is that old and new bugs are still there and will remain there.
The demonstration was the Gmod dll uploading bug viewtopic.php?f=16&t=9

Honestly I don't know the reason of ignoring these issues.
Have they been reported to Valve Security?

Just a consideration regarding the Steam network and the client-server communication with the Steam server:
I guess that this Steam ID spoofing works only with the games because, at low level, the Steam network packets don't contain the source Steam ID (as verified with NetHook2).
