Well, I've hit a severe roadblock in my research of this series, due to the nature of this game's launcher and steam-reliance. I desperately need to find a way to extract the models of this game fairly soon. The problem is I have no idea where to begin with it's very strange filesystem. This is singularly the most important project to me, as I wish to have renders of each type of wizard model for a potential wiki for it, and also for my own personal research. I severely need some help figuring this out, and have very few options left. This is why I have posted here. This community has been able to do such amazing things in the past with bizarre file structures, I can only hope and pray that we can figure this out.

Here is the entire file system of the game, minus the vitals to run it of course. This is just the game data.

Oh nice! I hadn't seen that before. How'd I miss that...? Any chance we can figure out the model files?

I don't know how you're getting the filenames properly from the archive but this should be a start in noesis: Script

Oh awesome! It seems to work perfectly for Grimnir...it can view the basic models of the other wizards but the UV's are a little messed up on export or conversion. Also the weapons don't seem to map at all, they display the models but the UV's are pretty much just nonexistent. Here's a few more samples to look at if you have time.

Hi
I expanded a bit the noesis script by finale00z for:
- vertex elements and types
- split meshes by materials
- if mesh is skinned than add vertex weights with a correct bone map and bind bones

This importer works only with installed old version of Blender - 2.4.9.b and Python version 2.6.6.
How use:
- click Blender249.blend
- in Blender Text Window press alt p and select *.unit file
