Hey guys,

I'm very new to all of this and stumbled upon a video on YouTube by a user "Sn34kyMofo" who talked about QuickBMS and gave a pretty good tutorial on BMS and some other associated tools like the hex editor to try and locate a BMS script to help "unpack" the audio files from a game. Video here: https://youtu.be/xZONf5fXEOg

What I want to do:
Extract audio lines, particularly dialogue lines from the Earth Defense Force 4.1 and 5.0 games so that I can use them in editing for memes, sound-boarding and my own amusement. Unfortunately no BMS script exists for these games.

What I need:
A BMS script for the game (which is asking a lot) or some pointers how how to develop such a script by myself (or do it manually). I'm not very well versed in such things but feel like it might be a fun side project and it's something I'm willing to learn if I'm capable.

Below is the HxD of the EDF5.exe (if it helps):

Thanks in advance!

Please post in the Game Archive section (viewforum.php?f=9) and upload one of these EDF/AWB files.

Probably already exists a script for them since AWB is usually sound/music related and the EDF extension is not new on the forum.

Example for AWB:
