Hi all... I'd like to preface this by saying I'm by NO MEANS a developer or game hacker to ANY stretch of at least my own imagination... With that out of the way, here's the meat of this thread:

So, I've been wanting there to be an undub (English text but with Japanese voices) for the game in the subject line there.... Since it's for PS2 (at the early end of the PS2's life cycle circa 2004 or 2005) I'm not sure what help I can get with this to either attempt what I want to do myself or pass it on to someone more experienced, but so far in my digging around I've been able to identify what file is my target: KER.img. I've also been able to use an app called PSound to listen to and extract the thousands of audio files in each version of the ISO (US and JP). I've also also attempted to simply replace the US KER.img with the JP version of the same file, but then I realized that that wouldn't do me any good, as the KER.img file houses all that makes each version its own version... if that makes sense... It wouldn't boot up in either the PCSX2 PS2 emulator nor my softmodded PS2 by the way... so something became incompatible.

Lastly, I'm aware that even if booting of the ISO became possible with the voice/audio files swapped over or the English script tables swapped over to the JP ISO the movie files in JP would need to be subtitled. I don't speak anywhere near enough Japanese to attempt that properly. I guess I could find the audio tracks with the English audio that correspond to the movie files in question and make subs from the translated / localized audio, but I don't know how accurate that is.

Where would I go from there? This game is available abundantly on likely many PS2 ISO sites (of course I won't link where I got mine for obvious reasons) if anyone here wants to assist me in my journey.

Thanks in advance
