This is an audio file, they have no encryption, unlike rpf's in in the main or dlc folders. Those are packed with oodle and have some kind of encryption applied over. And it seems not on the whole file, but only on the beginning.

As far as I remember in recent games, the encryption key was must be combined from several code places. I think the same method here. It also does not make sense to hope that there is AES as encryption (may be any other).
Only one solution is - reverse engineering. :)

Why did you upload it? I told you already that vehicles.rpf is an enencrypted audio file. Why on earth did you upload an rpf from audio folder, when the real problem is in rpfs in game root or in dlc folder?

In this file TOC is encrypted.

I though it would be better if I gave you the whole file.

OK.

Here's the smallest "generic" rpf exe and all DLCs. If someone needs larger files to be uploaded, I can do it as well.

Well guys, I found an encryption algorithm and honestly, it does not looks like AES anymore. I'm still studying him :)

Special thanks to h3x3r ;)

Super! Any details while you're studying? :) Are all RPFs are affected?

In sounds and movies - encrypted only TOC.

The content is as follows - RPFs inside RPFs (except sounds and movies):

Sample:
Code:
data_0.rpf
    ui_scaleform.rpf
??  ui_loadingscreens.rpf
??  ui_photos.rpf

List of files and folders moved to the end of archives -> At the end of each archive, you can see sometimes an unencrypted block that is less than 16 bytes. Example:
In levels_2.rpf file we can see folder like > ounds/m_04_02.

I attached some decrypted index from update.rpf file at offset 9EE756C0 if someone wants to study it :)

I took apart the encryption and format, but I will not do any tools because the guys from OpenIV have already made partial support for files from RDR2. Wait for the release ;)
