I need some help with how to open/extract these .PAK files for another PS2 game, The Thing. I'm mostly wanting the music theme that plays for the Main Menu part of the game. Please, I really need any of your support with my topic here.

I'll upload a link below to a folder containing all the files of said PS2 game, hopefully that will help you out a bit.

Your suggestion worked out pretty well for me, I managed to easily open the files just like that. Thanks.

My only concern now is for the .vag files stored within the "sound folders" of the extracted .PAK files. any tips on what I can do to easily convert those .vag files to a playable format, such as wav?

If you want me too, I can post a shareable link for the certain folders containing the extracted .vag files, perhaps to help you get a better understanding.

Remember test.exe you used for TimeSplitter sound files? You can use it for this one too. Then after you done convert the left and right channel of the menu music audio, combine them both to make one stereo audio.

Edit: I've done it, and it worked out all splendid for me, Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate that. Also, I never realized the menu theme for The Thing for PS2 was very short, being just 10 seconds long, and was just constantly played in a loop during game-play. But that's perfectly fine by me.

Plus, what do you mean by left and right channel of menu music audio, there's only one music file for the main menu. And are you also talking about using something such as Audacity to convert/combine to one stereo audio, or something?
