Hi. I'm trying to decode some files I extracted from the Destiny 2 game files but so far I haven't had much luck. I'm currently trying to decode or play some of the audio files recovered. Most of the audio files I have recovered have the following header:

Code:
                   Hex Representation           |         ASCII
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
52 49 46 46 91 2B 00 00 57 41 56 45 66 6D 74 20 | RIFF' ??WAVEfmt
42 00 00 00 FF FF 01 00 00 7D 00 00 D9 22 00 00 | B???yy??}??U"??
00 00 00 00 30 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 0F 9B 00 00 | ????0??????>??
BC 00 00 00 3B 2B 00 00 00 00 31 00 00 00 00 00 | ????; ????1?????
BC 00 00 00 13 01 31 00 E8 41 00 00 90 43 00 00 | ????1?eA???C??
5C 92 C7 4C 08 0B 64 61 74 61 3B 2B 00 00 BA 00 | \'CL data; ????

From what I'm seeing the audio files are in some sort of RIFF format. Seeing "WAVEfmt" there made me think that they were .wav files, but I was unable to play them with any player. I've added that file I extracted to this post. How can we go about getting the audio content of these files?

Hey, I'm afraid I don't have an answer as to your issue with the audio files, but I hoped you might assist me in getting up to speed with actually extracting the Destiny 2 packages. What was your process? Thanks.

When it comes to RIFF with 0xffff codec it all depends by the platform.
It may be XMA2 or other xbox codecs, for sure in the Audio section there are users with an answer.
