Hi!

I have a question: Is it currently possible to re-insert files into an ISO using quickbms?
Or, is it actually possible to dump an ISO using quickbms?

There are tons of tools and software for reading and building ISO images.
ISO is not just one format, it's a set of tons of various complex formats and versions, both standard and custom (console discs for example).

Risae, I know sir aluigi already answered you, but let me tell you some things that can help you

if you want to edit a game in a iso file, you have to know that there is many type of details in iso file. so you can't create a iso just like that, first, you have to make a iso from your DVD or CD game, because there some information that iso programs grab it from disc but most of programs can't do that and best program for this job is UltraIso (it's not free), so creating a new iso doesn't have that information, so best way is creating iso directly from playable game disc, and just replacing edited files and don't add or remove files to iso, and best speed to write it to disc is x8 (it's up to your raw disc too, some of empty discs have bad quality)

I am able to use an external program to dump and modify/rebuild the ISO that i have.
I was more interested to know if you can "slipstream" the files back into the ISO, just like when i used quickbms to dump and reinsert game files, like for example the contents of a .DAT file.

For better understanding, heres what i am currently doing:

I have the ISO of the PS2 game called Growlanser 6.
I used a tool called "Xpert" to dump all of the contents of the ISO.
A few years ago Sir Aluigi helped me with dumping/reinserting the contents of the games .DAT files and created a game specific quickbms script for me.
I was just wondering if i could do the same to the .ISO using quickbms, since i only want to put the files back to where they belong.
Just this time its an .ISO instead of a .DAT file.

I am able to re-insert the modified .DAT files into the .ISO using the tool called "Apache2".
With that tool i don't have to dump the .ISO and rebuild it, or anything like that.
I was just wondering if its possible to achieve the same thing with quickbms.

Oh no, ISOs are too complex for being handled with quickbms scripts.

read my reply, i was modding ps2 and ps3 just like what i said
create a iso from your disk, not from your data, so you must have game disc, not just data, and replace your file with UltraIso, not creating a new iso, and write it on a new disk again or run it on a emulator
