I would like to be able to extract the levels from the .big files (thats where I believe the textures and meshes are) but I have no idea on how to do so or how to get started. Could someone point me in the right direction? I saw GHfear be able to do it but have no idea on the process or programs.

Is there a way I can repack skate 2 big files and make them work because when I just extract them without repacking them the game doesn't function

You can try the reimprot feature of quickbms but I don't think the edited archive is going to be accepted by the game
