The .i3d model files are labeled as I3D_BIN and the animation files are labeled as I3D_I3M within a hex editor.

This noesis plugin works with the .i3d models (I tested a few of them, not sure if it works with all i3d model files from that game).

Me neither. Rule Of Rose uses i3d as well. A guy on Twitter named @MurugalStudio has reverse engineered the format.
Looking at the file in HxD doesn't give me anything to go on really. A German forum thread talks about corrupted format because of the values using a o u
