I had an important backup hdd with many files and also game archives. Unfortunately I lost a lot of my data after a hardware failure. There were a lot file fragments, but many files were still intact.
I decided to review all available files to see if I could restore the most important stuff manually.
There is a "lvl." file which I could not identify at all though.
I was hoping that I could reverse engineer the content of this file to eventually find out to what game or program it belongs, since it could be important.
I already spend two hours with analyzing this file by myself with the tools and .bat scripts for quickbms, but I didn't found anything useful/readable data that could give me a hint. It could be a bundle of Sacred 2 world maps, but this is only a assumption.
There is also the chance that it's simply a unusable data leftover, but I want safety.
I hope someone can help me to find out more about this unknown file format, if possible.
This was the file in question: lvl.zip
