Hi all hope this is the right place to ask. I am part of a team that is undertaking a big project to mod NHL2K10 on the PS3 to create a modern hockey game. Essentially we have a 3rd party looking into and helping us as the team are mainly modellers, artists and stat monkeys not game devs or experienced coders.

We know we can break the game apart and edit the assets which enables us to mod the game but the major issue the team is having is there appears to be some sort of protection or encryption when you re-write the assets.. makes sense. Assuming from discussions you need an encryption code/key. The game has a number of save game editors but the save game keys are probably different to the game itself. I've spoken to someone who thinks I need dev_licensee keys/codes.

Anyone with expertise or knowledge here?

NHL2K10 seems to be mainly 3 SDAT files..... thanks in advanced :)
