Can I delete a folder from a pkg.idx file?

using the aeriagames.bms I can unzip the files without problems or so I think so far .. my question is if there is any way to delete an existing folder or file within the pkg.idx, it could be deleted or at least modified the name of an existing folder ?

Not easy and definitely not with quickbms.
The format also seems to use some crc/hash field that may be checked in case you replace a file with an empty one (or just set the size field to zero).

They had shown me a game folder, which when unzipping the pkg did not bring a folder ...
You couldn't rename it either? I wouldn't know how they did it .. I don't know much
