This file is a big archive file containing the data of the game.

Any idea what kind of encryption is 42 using?

Doesn't look like an easy format... I think it has a header of CRA (ARC byteswapped because of endianness?) but I couldn't find anything in the exe that's related to it. Offzip for all modes doesn't output readable game data either.

Oh yeah, it seems like the tools for extracting the 42 file are already out to the public.

How exactly is this used? It's just a file with no type.
