please about quickbms is there any possibility of it opening the
database (.dat) files of the football manager 2021 game and making
them eligible to be edited?

I'm looking for some editor like football manager 2008 where it was possible to edit directly in the .dat files and save them in a different database. this would be very useful for a player creation project I've been trying for a long time... Thanks!

the file itself is very large but I'll put a smaller one for you to have an idea because I believe it's the same reading format to open

If you are interested I can send the fm2008 editor and the complete fm21 database for you to review

In the meantime I made a script for dumping the data from the file:
http://aluigi.org/bms/fm21dbdat.bms

As you can see these files are meaningless and need a hex editor for "looking" into them.

This is just a first step, there is not even a way for reimporting the edited files back in the archive, probably only via reimport3 which "may" work with these sequentially-stored files.

I'll leave the fm21 and fm08 games uploaded here if you have time without wanting to bother and if you can analyze this for me and for everyone interested. the idea is to make the fm08 editor open the fm21 files this script you made will help me a lot, I will try to re-import somehow. Thank you very much!
