Today I preserved this game because after the closure of Telltale Games, they delisted most or all of their games from digital platforms, so the only way to play this is from physical copes that probably only work on Windows XP. It's not available online at all, or at least it wasn't before I put it on the Internet Archive.

Anyways, this game has a data archive with the extension .ttarch. There is a BMS script for .ttarch files, but it gives an error whenever I try to use it, and it says it's for "Blowfish", not Telltale Games. Can anyone figure out how to extract this? It will contain models, textures, and probably more. No audio though, that's stored elsewhere.

Unfortunately that tool doesn't work for this game, after perfectly following the instructions it'll make a Windows box pop up that says "This app can't run on your PC" with no other options or errors.

Mah, it seems something related to your settings because ttarchext.exe is a simple 32bit tool without dependencies just like quickbms and all my other tools.

It's just a download and I'm able to run every other 32-bit application. I don't HAVE any settings to change. I don't know where I would go to change settings.

May it be related to Windows SmartScreen?
Try running ttarchext.exe from a different folder.
Temporary disable SmartScreen.
Scan ttarchext.exe with Windows Defender to check if there is something it doesn't like.
ttarchext.exe is definitely a 32bit exe so it can't be a 64->32 compatibility issue.
Those are the only ideas I have, there are plenty of results on Google about this problem affecting basically any possible software (funny that even Microsoft Teams was affected)

I've done all of those, I have SmartScreen disabled already, as well as Windows Defender, both force-disabled using a tool. So weird.

Is it possible that maybe you are trying to access (read/write) files located in "c:\program files*" or other folders that require special permissions?
I'm interested in understaing what's the cause and solution of this problem since other users may suffer the same.

Both the archive, target folder, and application are on the desktop, all given Administrator permissions and with Full Read/Write access. I have no idea what could be going on.
