Hello there,

I have downloaded the game Satr Wars : The Phantom Menace (PS1) on planetemu.net, and when I opened it I had 4 kind of files :
Star Wars - Episode I - The Phantom Menace (EU).sub
Star Wars - Episode I - The Phantom Menace (EU).img
Star Wars - Episode I - The Phantom Menace (EU).cue
Star Wars - Episode I - The Phantom Menace (EU).ccd

The img file was the biggest so I mounted it with DaemonTools, and inside there are other files with extension I don't know :
FILE.000
FILE.001
FILE.002
FILE.003
SLES_020.34
SYSTEM.CNF
ZANZIBAR.000

Does someone know where the voicelines files are loacted and how can I extract them ?

Feel free to ask me the files if you want to take a look.

You can use this script to extract all of the voice files (basically all of FILE.001)

It will work for either the EU or USA versions - files are identical.

Thanks for anwsering me.

It works fine, but there are only English audio whereas I downloaded (I guess) an EU version. I thought EU meant it contains French voicelines, but apprently not.

Is there something I can do to get the French voicelines, or everything in the ISO I extracted is here ?

Is the french voicelines can even be heard in the game? You can try to boot the EU version of the emulator to try it. Or try to find the "French only" version of the game.

Seems like the EU version has English audio, but there is a separate French version with only French language audio.

I've extracted everything from the "EU" version and it's all in English, so you need that separate version. Script will need to be changed to work with that version as the offsets will probably be different.

Alright, I will buy the game physically. When all the files will be extracted, I will tell you what are the files I have.

Hello,

I finally have the game in French, here are the files inside the disk : https://we.tl/t-ccSvJfTuGL

The filename here is SLES_020.35. Would it be possible to get a script that can extract the French voices ?

Here, I modified DKDave's script a little bit to support the FR version:

Just like the EN version, use the script on the game's executable.

Hello, I come back to this topic because I have another PS1 game to extract (Star Wars, Jedi Power Battles).

There are the same kinds of files but this time the SLES is 026.08. Would it be possible to have an updated script that works for this game ?

Here are all the files inside the bin file :

FILE.000
FILE.001
FILE.002
SLES_026.08
SYSTEM.CNF
Z.000
