Im trying to gather all the files from R7 for a project. Theres some models I just cant seem to get. Im using U3D to get most of the files, but it doesnt properly import a few of the .rax maps.

Ive tried to look at other model viewing options like the Blender plugin featured here but its giving me some issues. I have it running, but what parts of it do work will only give me the same result as U3D. Do we have any proper documentation of the rax file?

I could try to code up my own program for opening these stubborn files, but I dont know anything about the rax file. Can anyone help point me to some documentation? Or share a program that will up all the map files.

I guess my biggest task right now is getting the imp star destroyer interior mesh.

Im having some luck using 3DMR. I have all the vertices I need and some that I dont. I cant find out where the faces begin in ob.rax. I now know there were at least 3 different kinds of rax files. But im still struggling to open them and get a proper mesh out of them.

3D Model Researcher like a much nicer hex2obj. It lets you view that file and navigate it easily. Plus its fairly reliable.

ok, if you want me to look at something, just post it. I don't have these files.
