Ok do the following, make a copy of manifest.bin and call it pc.mnfst.
Then use the attached modified version of the tool which is just what is written on viewtopic.php?p=9779#p9779 (if it works I will post the patch for main.cpp).

It "may" work, let us know the result.

Hello aluigi i tried to extract the .upak archive with DS2Extract but it said that VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing.I download the dll file and placed it
but then it said that The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b) click ok to close the application

It's a command-line tool.
If you don't know how to use the command-line then search on google.

The following is the runtime help, just in case:

Code:

Darksiders 2 extraction tool.
Syntax: DS2Extract.exe  [/o:outputdir] [/v] [/nz]
/v = Verbose output
/nz = Don't convert .zgfx to .gfx files

I suggest you to create a .bat file like:

Doesn't matter because now I'm sure that ds2extract will not work because there are NO references to anim_streams, it contains only references to media.upak and few others.

The solutions is simple: use offzip
offzip.exe -a anim_streams.upak

Sankar: don't ask how to use offzip. This topic will be locked.

Then if you try to open anime_streams.upak it will tell you to use offzip.

He still doesn`t know how to use a command line tool. Besides, it`s too easy to do it. Just hold Shift, right-click on the folder where offzip is extracted, and click on something that reads "command line", then type the name of the command line tool.
