:) I figured that I'd let people take a look at Tekken 6's files, but with the Xbox 360 versions since I assume it would be easier to decrypt with the .IDX files provided.

Hopefully somebody can help.

Why you added an underscore before the extension of the BIN file?

It was automatically renamed after decompressing the .bin files with xbdecompress (a program that decompresses xbox 360 .bin files) through a batch file. :D

Ah ok.
This is the script, use it on the idx file:
http://aluigi.org/bms/tekken6.bms

I have seen that there are tons of topics about this game on both facepunch and xentax, just in case someone else is interested.

I got some .dat files, which includes model, texture and bone information as far as I have observed.
Should I start a new thread in the 3D/2D section are can I continue discussion here? :)

Try the new script 0.2, I'm sure that now the output files are a bit more useful :)

Ah, a small note. In case you are asking why the total size of the extracted files is so small compared to the archive... yeah that's perfectly normal because there is a big padding using between the files and many files are just empty.
In fact here I get 126kb from a sample of 2Mb :)

It seems that I'm getting errors when I extract other .bin files. Are my files defective?

Can you provide the idx file of the archive that gives that problem?

I have made an update to version 0.2.1 but I'm not sure if that's the problem because except for the thing I have just fixed the script is ok, try it.

I suppose that the archived file there doesn't use chunks like 99% of the others, the problem is that there is no way to know it from the information stored in the idx files.
Can you upload the first 10 megabytes of DATA304_.bin?

Exactly as I guessed, some files are chunked and others aren't without a way to know it.
There is nothing I can do, but I updated the script to 0.2.2

I was wondering if the PS3 version would be a better option in extracting the .bin files. I might be able to get ahold of the PS3 version in a few days.

Here's another sample, since it gives an error when attempted to extract from.
