Hi all and aluigi,

Thank you for these scripts they have been very useful.

I have been using these scrips for the last few months but I have run into one problem recently after the Assetto Corsa update 1.2. I have been making a car with 4wd and it appears that after the update the cars front wheels are not driving anymore so its just rwd.

If i unpack the data.acd it works just as it should. I have tryed packing it with the DLC setting as well but that does the same thing. Please can you look into this? I can upload some files if that would help? Many thanks in advance.

Cheers,

DrDoomsLab.

I mean, post the original data.acd and the exact name of the folder (EXACT name because that's the key of data.acd).

What do you mean. I have same result. a I copied data.acd to temp folder and try to extract to DATA folder and, I get bunch of types, not clasic ini. I tried many data.acd with same result :(

Are you sure both quickbms and the script are the latest version and you don't have the problem described by DrDoomsLab?

Nobody has reported issues with data.acd yet.

how long is the rebuilder supposed to take when rebuilding all the files that were extracted from data.acd?

The rebuilding script it takes milliseconds but you must NOT rebuild data.acd

Yes, I am using 0.6.7

Okay, I am doing something wrong.

Forgive me if I seem low on intellect, but I am a mechanical engineer and not a software engineer. Coding and programming is not my strong suit. I suppose that isnt an excuse though.

Just to give you an idea, I am trying to make the shelby cobra have 800 hp to replicate the Shelby Cobra Super Snake for my own private enjoyment, not public. But i cannot seem to get it to work.

I extract the data.acd, then modify the power.lut, and the car file to edit the name, then i try rebuilding and the command prompt just seems to take forever and does not show an error message. Once all the files are rebuilt, i put them in a new folder called data right? and delete the data.acd file or keep it?

You should just extract the files from data.acd in a "data" folder where is located data.acd, and then remove/rename data.acd.
Just that.
It should take few seconds to do everything.

Rebuilding or reimporting is not needed as far as I know and I don't know how you are trying to rebuild it (rebuild script or reimport.bat).
Leave and modify the files in the data folder and that's ok.

I'm sure that other modders here may give you more suggestions.

What is the problem?
Everything is extracted perfectly.

Are you sure you are not using an old script?
The current one (from many months) is 0.1a.

hi Aluigi, i have a question for Assetto Corsa (AC). there is this MOD car, which was downloadable, Ferrari F430 GT3. it was NOT updated anymore for new versions of AC (1.3.3), so the vehicle does NOT have "data.acd", however it has the folder with content called "DATA" (lots of ini and other files in there).
how can i get a "data.acd" for this vehicle? can I rebuild? compile? can i use data.acd of another random vehicle?
hope there is a way to get the files in "data" compiled/ rebuild into a "data.acd" file to test and run this car in current version of AC.

@kamabayah

You can't reuse a data.acd file for another car. Please give a look at the ini files. They all have references to particular cars.

I extracted data.acd to data folder.then I modified the car's performance. rebuilt data.acd appeared in a data folder name and the same folder as the car which has data.acd.rebulit. I deleted the original the data.acd After entering the game I found no effect. where I wrong?

Deutsch?
Du must die Dateien im Data-Ordner nicht wieder einpacken um sie nutzen zu konnen.
Losch die Data.acd, dann greift Assetto auf den Ordner zu.

Hello everyone!

Currently I don't own a copy of Assetto Corsa but after hearing about this extractor I'm highly interested. Great tool, very much appreciated!

Can you confirm that the two latest Dream Packs can't be extracted anymore due to a change in the encryption system? Those concerns had been aired on reddit.

Does the current Assetto Corsa version, for instance DreamPack 1 and the free cars, still "support" QuickBMS or did they change the encryption system in general?

Thank you
Chris
