Ok, isnt that exactly what I did.. And its more proof of the algorithm's than a showcase. I could care less how you feel about it. And complaints.. From???

Anyway, you gave me an idea for the forum:
  • You need to post your progress. Great.
  • Maybe other users want to do the same. Perfect.
So I decided to create a new section of the forum completely dedicated to people posting their works and progresses with models ripping, mods and graphics:

A sort of devianart-like section.

It's an experimental section so it's necessary time to know if it will be a success or an epic fail.
Enjoy it and I hope other users will find it useful.

Just a little rule: no stuff to download, just images.

So, I understand your excitement about being able to export a 3D models of the game and your desire to show what you've already been able to do, but you need to understand that this is a forum dedicated to technical stuff, people access the forum searching for tools, scripts, and techniques to extract and / or import game resources, they want to know HOW TO DO IT, so if you post a image of your progress and not explain how do it, it's a totally useless post.
And again, avoid off topics, here you are talking about RE2 in a Assassin's Creed game subject... WTF?!?
These technical matters are complicated, so the discussion need to be objective, this thread for example, have 2 pages, 27 posts and 10 of this posts are useless for the subject of the topic, this entire second page have no relevance to the topic subject: PAK file from the RE2 game.
You see? Let's keep the discussions organized, otherwise it will become a mess and useful information will be lost between so many off topics posts.

I was actually able to extract it with the Demo script. Is there a difference in the files it pulls out ? Also I found the train and was able to the get the offsets to the UV's so now I just need to get the textures and this is it.

And sorry for the pictures but if i resized them it was all blurry and you couldn't read it so it would of been pointless.

You just gotta wait a couple of minutes, eventually the game will start, and the .log file will be full.

Confirmed working on Windows 10, however my 8mb log file is not proving to work as a file list, even though it does have filenames in them. Could someone upload a working file list for the full version like was done with the demo?

Yeah, log file is super huge, 2h playing > 16gb :D

Here updated the hook. Removed uppercase lines and now the log file will be much smaller.

PS: Didn't test on Win10 :)

How long it might take to get full file list?
Right now i can't find Ada w/o her coat, and in hashed files i stumble upon some high detailed faces

For example -
000000000000c150.mes - jacketless Claire
000000000000c153.mes - classic jeans shorts Claire
000000000000c155.mes - same but with tactical harness??

000000000000c27c.mes- Chef Irons body?

Textures are unobtainable atm as far as i understand, looking for more complete list)

I understand that, i'm just saying that a lot of useful stuff is still hashed.
I've found coatless Ada - 000000000000c22b.mes
To get the textures i might have to use SGM on all 11 gb of hashed textures and look through it manually - it's obtainable that way, yeah

I was able to extract the .tex to DDS. I tired to use the python script for models in Blender but it gave me a Traceback Errror. So I downloaded Blender 2.49 but I cant figure out how to get the script to run. I put it in the folder but nothing able to import. Im just able to manually extract them because this process is taking longer to figure out than it would be to just manually extract them. I just needed the textures. Plus im running Windows 10 and not sure if everything is compatible because its not so easy as everyone makes it seem to be.

I'd use ninjaripper in that case. Not sure if it's working with Re2, and how ripped texture structure differs from directly extracted ones

Ninjaripper don't hook. Its all good ill have the models I wanted just have to do some digging for the files. I really want the police station, police car, licker, elevated train platform, and some random building/weapons ect. Plus ripping with ninja ripper is a headache sometimes. Especially on Windows 10. It might hook on Windows 7 a lot of games hooked on 7 but wont on 10. I wish i had my old set-up sometimes.

I have another suggestion, make the hook save the log filename differently in each session, maybe something like that: "RE2Hook_TimeStamp.log", changing the "TimeStamp" for the date-time of the file creation obviously, that way, previous logs will not be overwritten. And again, thaks for the hook!
