Hi guys, could anyone help me with some information on how to extract/convert these SPR files to TGA/DDS or another more modern image format? I’ve tried the most well-known tools like Dragon UnPACKer, QuickBMS, etc., but I haven’t been able to figure it out, even with the help of AI tools.

I’m attaching a RAR file with the SPR files included.

@Rabatini Hi rabatini, when I try to download the file, Microsoft Defender detects it as a virus. I also notice that it's an .exe file. Could you please tell me if it's a tool or what it is?

@RabatiniOkay, I'll try it. Is there a manual to see how it works, or is it drag and drop?

@RabatiniRabatini, you're a freakin' genius! I was able to convert it to PNG with your tool, thank you from the bottom of my heart! If you're willing in the future, I'd need more help to do the same task with other file types, but with the same goal as always: to get good cursors!

Hello @Rabatini, could you please help me with this file as well? It’s from the game Dragonfire: The Well of Souls. I would truly appreciate it. It is also an SPR file.

I really need your help with this, as I haven’t been able to figure it out on my own. Your assistance is absolutely essential for me. Thank you very much in advance!

Hi @Rabatini, thank you so much!!!!!!!! The cursors have a strange transparent background. I will look into a way to restore the original alpha.

Would it be okay if I sent you a private message? I’d really like to make a donation via PayPal as a way to thank you for your help.

I also have some other files (cursors in SPR/GPK formats) and I would truly appreciate it if, whenever you have the time, you could help me extract them using the same method you used before. That would mean a lot to me. I’m very eager to work on them and your help would make a huge difference.

Thanks again for everything!

This file in specific is compressed with RLE, after debugging, i found a lot of image treatment, but do not implement all, maybe because of that the alpha is not 100% correct.

Yes you can send me pm.

regards.

hi @Rabatini

Sorry for reviving an old solved thread, but I have some files from the same studio that I’d like to convert into PNGs or some other known format. Would it be possible for you to share the tool you used to convert the Dragonfire .SPR files?

I remember there were some alpha issues, but I’ll try to fix them with the help of AI. I hope you can help me. Thanks a lot as always!

I’m also attaching the file in case you might need it for any reason.
