Black Desert pac extractor

Featured Replies

Hello, Does anyone have the file fmt_blackdesert_pac.py  for Noesis?
I would really appreciate it.

Not sure - but if you have a pac file I could check it.

I'm also looking for this, i only found an old Blender Importer for version 2.49.

The Blender importer mentioned here: https://reshax.com/topic/13165-request-black-desertpacpabpaapamimport-script-for-blender/?&_rid=13968#findComment-62754 which is this one https://web.archive.org/web/20230513192810fw_/https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=11849 , was made based on the Noesis importer script made by chrrox, so i think the importer could help to create a new noesis plugin.

The Noesis plugin here: https://web.archive.org/web/20230513193437/https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=10909
is not available to download.

I'm extracting the game files with BlackFireBR's tool "PAZ File Browser"
I attached one of the game's folders containing one outfit, there are .pac files and .dds textures there. And the other zip file contains the old Blender Importer.

A user apparently updated the script to properly import animations too:

If anyone here have either the file fmt_blackdesert_pac.py for Noesis or a working version of the Blender importer compatible with newer versions of Blender, that is all i need.
Or if there is any other better method to import files from this game into Blender that i'm not aware of, that would help too.

Thanks. totally forgot what I had posted on Xentax (around Dec 2019, the link is not valid any more, btw) :

Black Desert Online File Formats (PAB, PAC, PAA)

Seems it's a matter of the blend-file version.
I used the files you sent me:
phw_00_nude_0001_noalpha.pac
phw_01.pab

phw_06_01_stand_idle_00.paa
phw_04_01_move_run_r_00.paa

with Blender249.blend as of 3.1.2015 (3rd January) and all works fine
(apart from some oddities with the blender timeline window where the
Play/Stop button had to be pressed several times)

or a working version of the Blender importer compatible with newer versions of Blender

I almost always had good results with Mariusz Szkaradek's py scripts for Blender 2.49b but I'll see how far I come with the Noesis plugin...

edit: done, pmed you.

And I just want to be like Mariusz and chrrox - I am merely a keeper of their legacy.:classic_cool:

Here's an animated GoblinBoss, exported from Blender 2.49b (maybe Giath, dunno, lost some body parts, sorry). Runs smoothly when you drag 'n drop it onto Noesis, btw.
