April 28Apr 28 Localization What is GEOMETRY.BIN / STREAML5RA.BUN from Need for Speed: Carbon and does anyone have an idea to analyze this file format and start a new tool or plugin or map editor to import GEOMETRY.BIN and STREAML5RA.BUN or export custom car models? The files like GEOMETRY.BIN and TEXTURES.BIN have JDLZ compression. https://mega.nz/file/FeQwWbiK#MvZXwGNHFNY8iKne6IPN_Ormw59-5XGONGIv0jBpZro https://mega.nz/file/MThkyRqb#w1ANpJhdKDOAx74uHJYhIIcduhva_ouJ-2mBrFksyDU
April 28Apr 28 look this tools for extract all NFS GAMES .. CAR MODELS https://nfs-tools.blogspot.com/2020/07/nfs-cartoolkit-v31-released.html WARNING: You might encounter problems with certain models. You could find models without applied textures; you'll need to install them manually. Otherwise, it extracts the models along with their body kits. A few years ago, I used this tool to convert models; it worked very well. Otherwise, there's another alternative: versions of ZModeler2 that have the BIN plugin. Searching this site provides links. April 28Apr 28 Author Localization My unregistered copy of ZModeler v2.2.6 doesn't let me import GEOMETRY.BIN from NFS Carbon and OneDrive download link for NFSCarToolkit requires a registered account or may be dead. Are there fixed alternatives for map models BUNs and is there a Blender plugin that imports GEOMETRY.BIN? Edited May 9May 9 by mrmaller1905
April 28Apr 28 I don't know about a Blender plugin. I'll check on my old PC to see if I still have the ZModeler versions. There are several BIN versions. It's been a long time since I converted NFS files, I've forgotten. But I remember that I needed several versions of ZModeler, one for each BIN file version. https://github.com/NFSTools all tools https://mega.nz/folder/2jwU2JwZ#qQrn4uyxUOLBw1FFiRDY8g https://nfsmodderscorner.blogspot.com/p/general-tools.html A lot of things are very easy to find on the internet, you just have to search for something on Google. It took me 2 minutes, bro Edited April 28Apr 28 by marco1990
