Armies of exigo 2004 - .ork unpack

Featured Replies

Hello forum, I’m looking for some help please with extracting/unpacking the attached file from the referenced game.

I’ve already tried the tools mentioned in my previous posts — Dragon UnPACKer, Watto, and Resource Hacker — but unfortunately I haven’t had any success so far.

I know that at some point Aluigi made an unpacker for this type of file, but I can’t seem to get it working properly. Perhaps with today’s tools there is now a more practical method to extract these files?

If this category is incorrect and this post belongs in MISC instead, please let me know and I will remove it.

I’m only interested in extracting the images/cursors from this game.

Thank you very much!

Would anyone be willing to help me with this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!

Hello, I'm not too interested in this game but from the Zenhax topic you linked this seems to be an important point:

This is why exists the orkdec_files tool that hooks the original game and collects all the possible filenames used by the game at runtime.
With the list of filenames generated by orkdec_files you can extract the ORK archives with orkdec, simple.

Using that tool (while the game is running, I assume) is the key. Without that you can't proceed.

Good luck.
