Not related, but Grin released official modding tools with tutorials and example files for GRAW2

From what I remember, I had to either export some model from 3ds max into .oil file, or there were also .oil example files somewhere.

.oil files should be a text format and with oiltodiesel.exe, research should be a breeze.
