Quote

55% of all KTX files are associated with Khronos Texture. If you open these files in a text editor,
you will see only illegible characters. The files are 8 KB to 1 MB in size, with a median of 170 KB.
The file type is old but is used even today. Several words can almost always be found in the files,
e.g. KTX 11, KTXOrientation and S=r,T=d,R=i. These files can be linked to classic, archerqueen, color,
icon, rgba, diffuse, ancestor and astc.
