    Hey everyone, I have been trying to create a PSS muxer in Python using AI (Not ideal I know), and have issues when it comes to the SCR calculations. The SCR base and extensions are not accurate. I'm thinking that there is something with the PTS/DTS, Mux Rate values and how they are being floored or they're being floored at the wrong time. You will be able to check this easily with the psstest_one_script.py, which will highlight the differences and you're able to scroll through it. I am trying to get an accurate byte for byte mux of the attached. The files are in the KOC-PSS.zip file. The outputs are the XXX_mux.pss files, with the original files included as well…

    Hi everyone, I recently encountered a video format on the PS2 that I haven't seen before: DSI. This format appears specifically in the ATLUS PS2 title, MAKEN X. This is unusual because the DSI format is not the common PSS or SFD formats widely used on the PS2, nor is it the IPU format referenced in the PS2 SDK. I have checked other ATLUS PS2 games, and they universally utilize IPU or PSS, making the DSI format unique to MAKEN X.     I am trying to convert video/audio files from Delta Force: Hawk Ops into MP4/MP3 format. I extracted some .bin files from the game’s Paks, but I ran into an issue: I don’t know what compression format these .bin files use. What is known so far: the file header of these .bin files is: A0 D7 82 1D 4B 42 32 6E The keyword is KB2n, and from my online search, this might be related to Bink files from RAD Video Tools.     Hi there. I started a project for my rom hack for Wild Arms 5 on PS2 which completely removes Japanese lyrics in both OP and ED songs. The problem was, WA5OP.PSS and WA5ED.PSS are .PSS files with .ss2 and .ac3 audio tracks. I could not figure out how to mux SS2 and AC3 audio tracks properly in .PSS files. I attempted to remux the .PSS files with .SS2 and AC3 audio but it seems to not work. The sound POPS when at the end of playback with the hacked WA5ED.PSS which might be the same issue for WA5OP.PSS. I even attempted to do a playback test on custom .PSS file that replaced the Dolby logo for Genji PS2 game but it crashes when attempting to playback. Is th…

  7. Here's a video file from EA Sports' NHL 2001 on the PlayStation 2, in the MPC format, which contains the EA Sports logo, as far as I know. I'd have put in the file called "INTRO.MPC", which is the file for the game's intro, but that would be too big for the site to handle. I suspect the format is similar to, if not identical to, the .mad format seen on the Windows version. If there's any way I can modify the file and still have it play, that would be great, as one plan I have was to make a mod that imagines how NHL 2000 would look if it were on a 6th generation console (which would have been the Dreamcast, but EA skipped that console entirely, so that's why I'…

I need help with this type of format of which I have two variants, one is the PC version and the other is the Dreamcast version. My idea is to demux both versions to be able to mux the Dreamcast version with the audio of the PC version, since this audio is in my language. I've found some information on this type of fmv, which seems to use the cin and cin2 codec on github, but I haven't been able to figure out how to create any tools.
