EmptyMan
Usage: Export text: Run CulpaInnataTextTool.exe, select Subtitle.sfs file Import text: Run CulpaInnataTextTool.exe, select translated file Be aware! When importing, choose exactly text file and not Subtitle.sfs, otherwise you will lose your translation. CulpaInnataTextToolByGier.7z
sigmagamma
Thanks! Do you happen to know how to change the font for the game? Also - I understand this is for the in-game subtitles - is there a way to edit the cutscene subtitles? Edited September 8 by sigmagamma

It depends on the language you want to translate into. The fonts in the Italian version take into account the characters used by some European languages (French, Spanish, etc). Each font consists of 2 files: -1 nif image file -1 fnt file for the parameters of each character The fonts can be found in the Bitmap.sfs file. All fonts in file Bitmap.sfs - only BMS from my topic to extract - so, files bits must be the same or less than original. I got around this by using unused characters, i.e. #@$& change to ąęść in dds file. I changed the positions in the table. If you have e.g. a = 9, you can only operate from 0-9 pixels wide, increasing the line width in the fnt file will break the game. If you change from e.g. 10 to 9, you insert 9 and a space so that the number of characters in the line matches. 2. Cutscene subtitles in Cutscene.sfs - only BMS from my topic to extract - so, files bits must be the same or less than original. You must cut string if lenght not fits ;( There are a lot of files here, so I created my own program that combines these files into one XML file (I edit it like an Excel file) and vice versa. Choose folder where you extract Cutscene.sfs file. Put translation text to column F. Text file extract from subtitle.sfs and game.dat also can convert to xml. Culpa Innata text tool export txt but when file inside subtitle.sfs have more than 1 line extract like: [text line 1]<lf>[text line 2]. I prefer line by line in excel 🙂 CulpaInnataTextToXML.zip 3. Subtitles (not include in steam version, you must download from Uncut Version) in Subtitles.sfs - tool in this topic. There are also a lot of files here. But the tool created by EmptyMan combines them into one. 4. Game.dat - inventory and dialogue texts Ghylard send tool in my topic. 5. Scene.sfs contains nif files. Ghylard sens tool to extract dds from them. 6. Puzzles.sfs contains backgrounds (*.bgx). Ghylard send tool to extract tga from them. 7. MainMenu.sfs contains nif files with main menu backgrounds. Ghylard send tool to extract dds from them. Edited September 19 by Pikor
