Don't know if i missed something from your threads. I just dumped Battlefront 2 game, and want to decode the ebx files to wav or mp3.
What tools do you use to decode them? Or do you use a tool on CAS/CAT files specificly to dump sounds?

use SWBF2 audio converter python script. i posted it somewhere

about swbf2 extraction:

when will UFBE dump the chunks for the resources? ebx and and those headers are nice but worthless wihout chunks. do i have to dump the 70 gig chunk folder for this to find and shove those files in the folders? really?

edit: looking at frosty's broken mesh extraction, can i assume they changed vertex format layouts?

i got the fox out, with broken rigging tho. finn's jacket looks just terribly broken. :lol:

you can dump chunk you need by entering its name or part of its name in the filter
you can know chunk name by running mesh tool

auto-dump is planned later
i'm busy with 4 other games now (not frostbite)

Newbie here, so please be easy on me.

I followed daemon's tutorial for getting a .smd which I was successful in doing but the file is 0 Kb in size and nothing shows up when I import it into blender. Help?

EDIT: I apparently did not let UFBE finish and cut it short before it had extracted everything. Now it works.

Hi, I've a problem with "Fb_SWBF2_mesh.exe", because when I put the .MeshSet file, the .exe file stops to work.
I'm stuck at the part in which I must convert the file into in .smd and .ascii formats, right because of that error (and the model that I put wasn't a facial mesh, but a gun).
Any help about that?

skeleton must be in the folder. Also make sure you're using latest tool version

Yes. They do.
BFV doesn't use assetbanks though. It uses tons and tons of "antresource" files instead.

EDIT: The mesh format changed too i think. I made another thread about it recently if you wanna look.

Mesh tool and facefixes for Battlefield V

3p_malesoldier_fb.ebx - is the main skeleton for BFV, tool will expect it
